The weave
Pulls the water. Never pushes it.
GSM is grams per square metre, meaning how much fibre is actually in the towel. A general-purpose microfiber towel runs 300 to 400. Starting Line runs 550, which is where a towel stops smearing and starts lifting.
The pile is a premium twist loop, so each strand wicks water up into the towel by capillary action rather than dragging it across the surface. The ButterSoft™ suede edges finish the job on glass and chrome without leaving a line.

What is Starting Line best for?
Interiors. Dashboards, door cards, screens, glass and trim, alongside Ceramic Interior Cleaner. Any Bahama towel will work anywhere on the vehicle, this is simply the one designed for the interior step.
How is it different from Lil' Bird and Big Bird?
The Birds are 1600 GSM drying towels, built to pull standing water off a whole vehicle after a wash. Starting Line is a 550 GSM general-purpose towel for cleaning and wiping, not for drying a full car.
Is it safe on paint and glass?
Yes. The ButterSoft suede edges mean there is no stitched hem to drag, so paint, chrome and glass all come off swirl-free and streak-free.
How do I wash them?
Pre-wash before first use, machine wash on a delicate cycle, tumble dry on low heat or air fluff. Do not use detergents or bleach, and never use fabric softener, it clogs the fibres.
